Retired Physicians Club
The Retired Physicians' Club meets for lunch
at 11:45 a.m. at the DCMS office at 140 E. 12th St. on the third
Wednesday of January, March, May, September and November. The club’s
president chooses topics of interest for all lunches and schedules
speakers. Spouses are invited to attend. The next luncheon
is scheduled for Sept. 16, 2009. Invitations are mailed
to retired members who have requested to be a part of the Retired
Physicians Club.
At the most recent Retired Physicians’
Club luncheon in May, Arnie Paddock, Ph.D., presented “What
is a cute chip like you doing in a place like this?” This
is the story of the integrated circuit invented in 1958 at Texas
Instruments by the late Nobel Laureate Jack Kilby.
