County Medical Society and the Texas Rangers Baseball Club have

The Dallas County Medical Society hosts a reception for resident
and fellow physicians every fall. This event allows ALL residents
and fellows in Dallas County the opportunity to network with each
other and with DCMS physician leaders. This is a nice break from
the routine, and an enjoyable evening and extremely valuable networking

The 2010 Resident Roundtable Dinners are held at the Aldredge
House, thanks to the generosity of the DCMS
Alliance.
Invitations are sent to all DCMS member residents and dinners fill
up quickly. Topics are targeted for third- and fourth-year residents
who are preparing to enter practice. These dinners are limited to
30 people. The DCMS
Circle of Friends sponsors this event, which allows resident
physicians to attend for free. These dinners are not sales presentations,
but informative programs that have generated great reviews from
attendees. Although DCMS Circle of Friends attendees are invited
to join the cocktail hour, the dinner is reserved for resident physicians.
Topics that are covered include:
• Malpractice insurance for moonlighting
• Employment contracts
• Managed care contracts
• Coding and billing
• Web-based medical practices
• Building web sites
• Financial aspects of setting up a practice
• Tips for starting a practice
