Missing Valuable Referrals? DCMS wants to help!

Recently you received a notice in the mail regarding the DCMS Referral Service Program. DCMS sends patients your way via our voice and Web referral services for an annual participation fee of $50 for BASIC service. Participation in Referral Service BASIC provides names of physicians by specialty to callers in their area of town, including background information. Currently, basic information is listed on www.dallas-cms.org under PHYSICIAN FINDER that lists a member physician’s name, office address, office phone and specialty. Go look at your online profile to see what your patients see! Patient input from the PHYSICIAN FINDER section of our Web site has been incredible. This information is the most visited section of our entire site.

Referral Service PLUS includes BASIC services in addition to important information about you and your practice, including your photo, a map link to your office, email (if preferred), link to your Web site, your medical school and year of graduation, hospital affiliations, and board certifications. The annual participation fee for PLUS service is $100. For a sample, go to www.dallas-cms.org, click on PHYSICIAN FINDER and search for DCMS president Warren Lichliter, MD, or DCMS secretary-treasurer Kim Vernon, MD.

This extended profile feature has become increasingly popular with patients and physicians. Often, patients call DCMS to request that their physician’s extended profile be added to the Web listing. If you have your own Web site, Referral Service PLUS enhances your ability to reach your patients by providing that direct link to you when they visit our site. Even without a Web site, patients enjoy seeing who their physician is before the actual visit and appreciate the assistance of the map and other information provided.
