Take note of these features in your new directory:

• Look for the Member Services Tab to see what’s available for members.
• In the Member Services section, note the member events calendar.
• Note the Collin/Fannin County Roster Tab for your colleagues nearby.
• Pharmacies section includes addresses and phone numbers of Dallas and Collin county pharmacies and is sponsored by CVS/pharmacy.

The items that have made DCMS Directory the resource you can’t live without include:

• Alphabetical and geographical listing of member physicians
• Up-to-date street and email addresses, and telephone and fax numbers
• Medical specialty and practice type information
• A listing of health agencies, hospitals, and large group practices
• Physicians in local residency programs

The DCMS Directory has been a valuable member service since its inception in 1924. For years, physicians joined the medical society simply to have their name listed in “the book.” Just about everyone in the health industry depends on this resource.

Major changes are on the horizon for the DCMS Directory. Beginning in 2006, this annual publication will be a pictorial edition. RCL Portrait Design has been contracted to take photographs of each physician member. Representatives from this company will be calling DCMS members to schedule appointments at a hospital or other location near you. If you purchased an enhanced Physician Finder profile or if you had your picture taken for our 1990 pictorial directory, it is not necessary for you to do this again if you would rather not. However, we would prefer to have a current photo, and this gives you a great opportunity to have an updated photo for a variety of personal and professional uses. There is no charge to be photographed for the directory, but if you would like prints or electronic copies of these photos for your personal use, a variety of packages will be available to be purchased. DigiDOCS® is still available FREE to DCMS members with handhelds that have the Palm operating system. This is a searchable, digital version of your directory that is downloadable via the Internet.
