Take a med student to dinner
Physicians can get a fresh audience for their old med school stories if they attend the DCMS annual Medical Student Dinner on Sunday, Aug 21. Join DCMS and the Dallas Academy of Medicine as we welcome the UT Southwestern freshman medical students to the Family of Medicine at our annual Medical Student Dinner. We’ll celebrate the students’ first week in medical school at our 30th annual dinner, from 6 to 8 pm at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel, 2222 Stemmons Fwy. Round up your family for free fun!
Fun for the whole family is coming up Friday, Sept 30, from 6 to 11 pm at Eddie Deen’s Ranch, 944 S. Lamar, Dallas, near the convention center downtown. Our third annual Member Roundup is a family friendly hoe-down that includes Eddie Deen’s BBQ, a fun DJ, country/western dancing (and lessons), a game of pool, and a strolling magician. Kiddos will enjoy caricature artists, video arcade games, a 3-shot basketball game, and much more. Door prizes for all ages and goodie bags provided by the sponsors of the evening will send you home happy! The Member Roundup provides a casual atmosphere in which existing DCMS members can welcome newcomers to the society and to the practice of medicine in the Dallas area.
