Over the past few weeks, DCMS has received numerous questions and complaints regarding a company that is in Dallas taking photographs of member physicians. Earlier this fall, the Texas Medical Association began a project to take photos of members who did not get their pictures taken in 2001 or who are new to the area. TMA primarily uses these photos for its online directory, and worked through each county medical society to accomplish this project. DCMS and TMA have worked with a company called Invizeon for many years. Invizeon took the first round of photos for TMA. During the first photo campaign, we had no complaints. DCMS agreed to allow Invizeon to contact its members. Invizeon sent members generic forms that erroneously indicated that your medical society was publishing a pictorial and online directory, and the company needed to take your picture so you could be included. This is inaccurate for Dallas and several other county societies across the state. Because of this, Michael Darrouzet, DCMS executive vice president, immediately contacted Invizeons CEO. DCMS has heard from numerous members questioning why they have to complete profile forms after their picture is made. Also, the schedulers identified themselves as DCMS employees. Please know that these representatives are not DCMS employees; they work directly for Invizeon. We asked them not to identify themselves as DCMS employees. Invizeon was not able to address our concerns satisfactorily. As a result, TMA and DCMS terminated their relationship with Invizeon. They are no longer endorsed to provide photography or other services in Texas. Be assured that you will receive any photos that were ordered, and, if you commissioned Invizeon to construct a Web site for you, they will complete the work you ordered. Invizeon does excellent photography and creates quality Web sites. The problems experienced by DCMS members were related to customer service, not to Invizeons products. To discuss your photo or Web site order with Invizeon, contact representative, Joe Boyer at 888-543-3424 or jboyer@invizeon.com. DCMS and TMA apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We realize your time is valuable, and we truly regret that some of it may have been wasted due to this photography project. Contact Deanna Wooten, DCMS director of membership, at 214-948-3622 or deanna@dallas-cms.org if you need anything further. |
