A Texas-size "Thank you" to the sponsors! |
by
Deanna Wooten
DCMS director of membership |
A Texas-size “THANK YOU” goes to the sponsors
of our 4th annual Member Roundup at Eddie Deen’s Ranch Oct 20.
The generous event sponsors were SNB Bank of Dallas and Blue Cross Blue
Shield of Texas. DCMS Circle of Friends sponsors were TMA Insurance
Trust, Texas Medical Liability Trust, Hostnet Inc, Capital One Bank
NA, The Reynolds Company, Discover Network, American Express, Advantage
Administration Inc, Lone Star MSO, and Care Now. These companies are
great supporters of organized medicine in Dallas and made possible a
wonderful evening of family fun.
Member Roundup gives the DCMS leadership and members
the opportunity to meet and greet the newest members of DCMS and physicians
who haven’t yet joined. We host the event with the DCMS Alliance
and TMA. The food was fabulous, the dogs Skidboot and Bois D’Arc
were truly amazing, along with their horse companion Cheyenne and human
companion David Hartwig. Kids and adults alike enjoyed the caricature
and balloon artists. The Riverboat Gambling Magician amazed the group
with his sleight-of-hand tricks. Our sponsors also gave away goodie
bags and provided door prizes. The sponsors, physicians, and their families
enjoyed themselves. Thanks for your participation in this event!
Dues Renewal . . .
If you haven’t paid your 2006 membership dues, you’ll get
a reminder in the mail in December. Jan 1 is the due date. If you have
questions about your statement or would like to pay via credit card
over the phone, call the membership department at 214-948-3622.
Remember that DCMS is the only local resource that
binds you to the big picture of the practice of medicine. TMA is that
voice statewide. The 80th session of the Texas Legislature begins in
January, and you’ll want to have your voice represented. When
it comes to legislation that affects how you practice medicine, one
voice by itself may not be heard. Corporately, the voices of our physicians
are significant because of your support and participation in organized
medicine.
