Wrapping up the Roundup ...and have you paid your dues yet?

Our gratitude goes to the sponsors of the 2004 Member Roundup at Eddie Deen’s Ranch in October. The generous sponsors were America Medical Office Partners, LP; Early Childhood Intervention; D&M Leasing; Gevity; SNB Bank of Dallas; TMA Insurance Trust; and Texas Medical Liability Trust. They made possible a wonderful evening of family fun.

Member Roundup is a casual, family event where the DCMS leadership and members have the chance to meet and greet the newest members of DCMS and those few physicians attending who haven’t joined yet. This is our second year to host this event along with the DCMS Alliance, TMA, and AMA. This Roundup was phenomenal! We more than doubled our attendance from the first year. The food was fabulous, and the LHHS Wranglers Dance Team and the “Medicine Man Magician” were great entertainment. The caricature artist and face painter were a huge hit and stayed busy the entire evening. Attendees received goodie bags from the sponsors and the children enjoyed their stickers. The sponsors, physicians, and their families had a great time, and we hope to see them all at the Fall 2005 Roundup. Ya’ll come next year, ya’ hear?

PAYING YOUR DUES
If you haven’t paid your 2005 membership dues yet, you’ll receive a reminder in the mail in December. Jan 1 is the due date. If you have questions regarding your statement or would like to pay via credit card over the phone, please call the membership department at 214-948-3622.

Remember that DCMS is the only local resource that binds you to the big picture of the practice of medicine. TMA is that voice statewide. When it comes to legislation that affects how you practice medicine, one voice by itself may not be heard. Corporately, the voices of our physicians are significantly stronger because of your support and participation in organized medicine.
