Women In Medicine:
Why Healthcare Needed COVID

Join us for the third presentation in the DCMS Connect Virtual Speaker Series. With burnout rates on the rise, strong mentorship among all physician communities should be encouraged. Specifically, females make up 50 percent of medical school graduates, but comprise only 33 percent of the physician work force. To celebrate and empower our amazing women in medicine, we have invited Hala Sabry, DO, founder of “Physician Moms Group ,” to speak about being a female physician and a mom during the current pandemic.

In order to promote mentorship, Dr. Sabry will address gender-related workplace issues amid the constant changing demands of COVID-19 in a physician’s professional and personal life. She will share feedback received from all over the country and encourage new innovations and best practices that have worked for others in the same position.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Understand how COVID-19 has affected the current state of physician wellness,
  2. Learn new innovations and coping strategies for adapting and thriving in the current state of medicine during COVID-19, and
  3. Implement changes in their practice of medicine and provision of health care in COVID-19 and post-pandemic situations to maximize personal well-being and practice resiliency.
