DCMS Delegation to the TMA House of Delegates

The TMA is governed by the House of Delegates, a legislative and policy-making body. Each Texas county medical society is allotted delegates according to its number of members (1:100). The number of alternate delegates is unlimited. For 2018, DCMS is expected to have 56 delegates. Delegates consider resolutions regarding changes or additions to TMA policies that are proposed by other physicians. If the House adopts a resolution and it has nationwide appeal, it may be forwarded to the AMA for action. The House meets annually during TexMed each spring. The DCMS Delegation meets once a few weeks before TexMed and once during TexMed. The Dallas Delegation is responsible for identifying and nominating Dallas physicians for TMA elected positions such as the TMA Board of Trustees, councils and committees. Staffed by Michael Darrouzet and Connie Webster
