Advocacy

Count on the Dallas Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association to advocate for physicians as legislation and administrative actions that impact physicians are deliberated. There is strength in numbers when it comes to advocacy, and when you are a member of organized medicine in Texas, you will never go it alone.

Get involved. The show of a collective effort of DCMS physicians is extremely important. Members provide a powerful common voice protecting patients, physicians, and their relationship, while serving as thought leaders and conveners to model positive change. DCMS physicians are involved in influencing legislation as it pertains to the quality of care delivered to patients. For more information or questions, please email Ruby Blum.

Physicians need to be involved in all phases of the legislative process. If you would like to join your colleagues in Austin or get involved at any level, contact DCMS.
