Dallas continues to play a significant role in the leadership of the TMA, with several DCMS physicians recently elected to key positions. John Carlo, MD, a Dallas public health and general preventive medicine specialist, was reelected to continue his service on the TMA Board of Trustees; Mark Casanova, MD, a Dallas palliative care physician with nearly 30 years of TMA membership, was elected vice speaker of the house; and Tazeen Rizvi, DO, a Dallas internist, was elected to a one-year term as the TMA Resident and Fellow Section board representative. These elections underscore the strong and continued influence of Dallas's medical community within the statewide association.
