In April, Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) began the process of redetermining Medicaid eligibility for all 5.9 million enrollees — a process that extends over the next year. This month is the first time in three years people can get disenrolled from Medicaid. Unfortunately, we don’t have data on how many people have lost coverage yet.
