DCMS PAC / TEXPAC

The Dallas County Medical Society PAC is DCMS’ political action committee. Annual dues are voluntary and are listed on the DCMS dues statement.

The Dallas County Medical Society PAC is a nonprofit, unincorporated committee of individual allopathic and osteopathic physicians and their families, medical students and residents who are members of Dallas County Medical Society. It is not affiliated with any political party and is bipartisan in its work.

The purposes of the Dallas County Medical Society PAC are:

  • Support elected officials in countywide, state, and municipal elections who actively will support physicians' ability to care for Dallas County residents.
  • Support and strive for the improvement of government by encouraging and motivating physicians and others to take an active and effective role in governmental affairs.
  • Assist physicians and others in organizing for more effective political action and in carrying out their responsibilities as good citizens.

Endorsements and contributions are limited to candidates running for elected offices that are in Dallas County, and for Congressional races, those who represent North Texas more broadly. The PAC can also contribute to public health initiatives that are included in annual elections.

Contributions to the Dallas County Medical Society PAC will ensure that elected officials hear Dallas physicians’ voices. To join your colleagues in the Dallas County Medical Society PAC, contact  Ruby Blum.

Dallas County physicians also support the statewide Texas Medical Association Political Action Committee, or TEXPAC. TEXPAC gives physicians a voice at the crowded table of politics — and ensures elected officials are held accountable through a democratic, bipartisan endorsement process.
